Becker’s Healthcare recently named Stephen Klasko, MD, MBA, DSc honoris causa, in its list of the Great Leaders in Healthcare 2024. Although on that list while CEO at Jefferson, this is Dr. Klasko’s first time being listed in his role as Executive in Residence at General Catalyst.

Becker’s list features leaders who have embraced change in the midst of the ever evolving healthcare landscape, and who are “using innovative digital technology, novel care delivery approaches and creative care solutions to shape the future of healthcare.”

According to Dr. Klasko, “It’s such a hard system to transform that we slide into incremental change. But what I’ve seen in universities, in medical centers, and among entrepreneurs, is bright caring devoted people who must be empowered, supported, mentored and praised for creating a better future.”
